MTR Contract 816A – West Kowloon Railway Terminus
This project is the Terminus for the Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link. The station was opened in September 2018 with 9 long distance platforms and 6 short haul regional platforms for a total of 15 platforms. It is also one of the world’s largest underground train hubs with area of 400,000 sq. meters.
We supplied more than 2,500 ‘Eltafantech’ fans for this project of which over 500 are high temperature axial smoke spill fans and 64 nos. are dual motor, belt-driven, axial fans for staircase pressurization. ‘Eltafantech’ supplied all fans timely to meet the fast track construction program and the target date for FSD inspection.
Tsing Yi Vehicle Examination Centre (VEC)
This new VEC is a multi-functional building consisting of a 3-storey inspection hall and a 7-storey office block with a total construction floor area of 64,350 M2.
A centralized vehicle exhaust extraction system is used with each exhaust fan handling a multiple no. of hosereels.
We supplied total 150 sets of ‘Plymovent’ model SER hose reels and over 30 nos. of centrifugal exhaust fans. Each hose reel is equipped with automatic inlet damper inlet and 15m length of hose suitable for 200℃ exhaust air temperature.
The centre was completed in the fourth quarter of 2020 and is able to handle 1000 vehicle inspection per day.
